Morning all. a bit frosty, dry and sunny though. We are going to take LDog somewhere in the car for a nice walk later as it's his birthday
I shall send his previous owner some pics later as I know she'll be thinking of him. DGs had his yesterday, we took all his pressies over to and heavy DS2s and a cake with candles & all enjoyed a slice. He got some money, and mainly clothes & was very happy with everything. I can concentrate on Xmas now, finished writing all the cards last night. I am debating about the tree, it's quite big , and wondering a bout a smaller one we have in DH storage on the farm.We also have a chair in the kitchen diner where it usually goes so that would need to be moved but I could put the smaller one on a dresser top
Taff, glad OH has had treatment for his ankle, Izzy , that sounds horrendous for your poor friend.Coxy sorry about the job days being cut. Gers, glad to hear there is a solution to your UTis even if not immediate.Glad you're back to driving again Camelot.Salmon for tea later, nice and simple. Take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)7 -

Morning all and thanks @Gers for starting us off today; glad to hear you're feeling a wee bit better. I hope the consultant will have some good news for you on Friday.
Yesterday was a very dull and grey day with just a couple of light showers; today we're promised a dry and sunny day with a moderate breeze although it will feel chilly, especially overnight when it will be below freezing. I don't like the cold but can put up with it (not much choice really, just have to add more layers), and at least feel more like doing something when it's sunny.
SM delivery is due soon and apparently I will be getting everything I ordered.
One acceptable sub and one short dated item that's destined for the freezer anyway so that's OK. However, dopey me forgot to order milk!
There's a couple of Xmas presents in there so I'll get those wrapped this afternoon and write out the few cards that need posting, the rest will be hand delivered. Tea tonight is a couple of slices of gammon with the last of the hash browns and either an egg or peas, depending on which I fancy.
@Scarlet - Well done on getting the curtains finished and up.
@Izzy - What a dreadful experience your friend is having, someone needs a kick up the bum.
@camelot - I think my next batch of soup will be leek & potato. This week's celery & bacon is OK but there's something missing and I'm not sure what it is as my soups never turn out the same twice - it all depends on what's in the fridge!
@Ruby - You'd definitely earn more doing private work so yes, have a think over the Xmas period. Whatever you decide, it has to work for you as well as your clients.
@Coxy - So sorry to hear your new job isn't turning out the way you expected. I really hope coat no.2 of paint will be enough!
@Gers - Maybe the waistband will stretch a bit once you've worn the trousers a few times? Well done though on dropping four dress sizes.
@-taff - Glad to hear your OH has had his foot injury seen, hopefully he won't need the boot for too long.
@dp1 - Gentle hugs for LO.
Must dash now, delivery due any minute so I'll wish everyone a good day and hope for swift recoveries for the poorly ones. Take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
