Good morning, thanks Gers, hope you're feeling better.
It's raining here, yesterday was similar, with heavy sleety showers. I got a bit of a fright when I was in the kitchen and a heavy sleet shower suddenly started, rapping on the window.
We have a few friends coming round tonight, our Tuesday quiz team - the quiz is not on, so they'll come here for a drink. ( we won't do a quiz!). There'll only be 5 of us, so it'll just be chat and a glass of wine. We've known each other for ever so the conversation will be easy.
I finished the curtains that I was altering yesterday, got them pressed and hung - they look very nice. The other little sewing jobs can wait till tomorrow.
Hope the poorly people are feeling better - Gers, Camelot, Taff's dh and the others who aren't well..
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers hope you are feeling better well it’s still damp it never seemed to get light yesterday I had forgot we were getting the boiler serviced yesterday afternoon what a difference it has made the radiators were bouncing last night and he’s booked me in for next year. I hardly dare tell you the next saga of my friend in hospital the physio came yesterday to try and get her up she said when is someone going to get me a strap for my shoulder I’m in agony the physio asked if she was bruised she told her no I’ve broken my collarbone and my shoulder no you haven’t she said there’s no record of it so she rang her daughter at work who had taken photos of the x rays when she had been taken in the physio then got a doctor who looked at the photos her Dayak sent and off she was sent to get x rays again to see what they were going to do she was crying her eyes out and she keeps been sick with the pain she’s had a small tub of ice cream to eat since last Thursday her daughter was going in last night to try and sort something out it beggars belief I will ring her later . I’m off out to a cleaning job in a minute but I haven’t much else planned but I must come back and clean the kitchen floor again . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's still nippy here but a dry day is promised and sunshine! Whoop whoop!
Lunch with DF unless I hear differently. I await confirmation any time. If it's off I should do a little shopping spree as it's finally hit me it's only a month until Christmas. Everything should be all bought and packed by now and it's far from it this year.
TAFF ouch your poor OH .You may remember my eldest DGD fractured her ankle in August, which needed pinning and a pot on, followed eventually by one of the elegant boots. It was 3 months before she was allowed to begin weight bearing. I hope OH's convalescence doesn't take this long, poor chap.
IZZY your poor DF, you couldn't make this up could you. I hope treatment can eventually begin now and she is soon more comfortable.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad and lonely. Plus DFs and rellies. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you are feeling better.
Cold and frosty this morning but looks like it will be a sunny day, yesterday was lovely but the wind would have cut you in two. I had a lovely walk with the dog - she was very well behaved for a change but does have a tendancy to just stop and refuse to move! I'll take her out again today.
I ventured out in the car - felt like a learner! Went to the Works and got a few presents for little ones and even wrapped them up when I got back. I too dislike wrapping!
Meeting a friend for an hour or so later at a local garden centre, she has a voucher for tea/coffee and a cake for two and it will be nice to see all the Christmas stuff but I doubt I will buy anything as it's all so expensive and I don't need anything anyway.
Enjoy your evening Scarlet, sounds like it will be very relaxed.
Glad your OH has been seen taff.
Your poor friend Izzy, hope she gets sorted soon.
I have leek and potato soup bubbling away for my lunches for a few days, just hoping it's as good as the last batch I made as I really enjoyed it and it uses some of the potatoes that were dug last week.
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning all
Dry here and no rain due today which is good, I have two people coming today and we are having a rare day at home, one of them was moaning about the cost of my mileage which is set by the council so I have no choice in what I charge, but she also never wants to stay in 🙄 we were going to Butlins today for there close down day but I cancelled it and said we will stay in , we will take the dogs out for a walk this morning and then come back and have lunch and then watch a film. Tbh I think my time with the scheme is coming to an end I need to have a good think about it but I can earn more money doing private work, and I have been asking for a new person since Rob left and they are just not getting the referrals, meanwhile I have 6 people who want my services privately. I will have a good think and make a decision after Christmas.
Dinner tonight will be a fish finger sandwich with a few chips, dd is working late so will eat at work. I should hear about the wm today, I will phone them if I’ve not heard by late afternoon.
Izzy your poor friend she must be in so much pain xx
Taff I hope your OH feels better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x.What a palava for your friend @IzzyBee. I hope the hospital pull their finger out today x
Don’t blame you re: work @ RedRuby1231 - we’ve all got to live and sounds like you are better off elsewhere.Good day at work yesterday and busy, even stayed on half an hour to finish something. Unfortunately the staff member I was taken on to support has said she wants to leave, so instead of 3 days a week, they only want me for 1 going forward. Just so disappointed. Will need to look for something to top up my wages as otherwise we won’t bridge the gap until our pensions kick in at this rate ☹️
More painting today - hallway, stairwell and landing again. At least I have the rest of this week to do a third coat if needed 🙄
Have a good day all

Morning all - it's a chilly though bright start to Tuesday. Thanks so much for all the good wishes - the past four days have been torrid so they were lovely to have.Yesterday I had a better day, relatively speaking that is, and even managed a trip to the big town (30 miles each way). Had to drive straight to Lidl for their loo and even took in M&S's one too. Trip successful and I got home in good time. Last night I only had three excursions along the hall. The pain is mostly gone though I can tell it's lingering, ready to pounce! All these UTIs have been diagnosed as a direct result of the condition which I'm hoping to have cured before Christmas. Nothing life-threatening or nasty, just debilitating and sore.Much worse sounding are @Taff's OH and @Izzy's friend, my fingers are crossed that they feel better soon.Another success is that the trousers I collected from M&S yesterday are almost perfect
The waistband is about half an inch too short so I've rooted out the button extenders. I'm chuffed anyway as I've dropped four dress sizes so will not complain about half an inch!I've now added another layer to my day clothes - up to four jumpers and got on the thick woollen tights too.
I may have to light the wood burner again today as my plans aren't too active. I've a phone call booked with the GP for this morning, after that I will wait to see.I hope that everyone can keep warm and well. Hugs to all.12 -
Morning all...A trip to the allotment beckons, haven't been for over a week with one thing or another so looking forward to that. There may be some digging and some tidying and maybe movign some water about...And sitting down and looking to plan next jobs with a coffee...OH is not doing anything today of course, except things involving games of some sort predicatably so he'll be keeping himself amused. It's going to be sunny and 6 degrees today apparently, going to zero later so I might light the fire after...Just the normal boring stuff today...No idea wat's for food, maybe I'll take a beef stew out of the freezer...I'm leaning towards gettng rid of all the different types of tupperware and just getting something that's all the same and stacks nicely. Chinese takeaway cartons can only do so much
Cameot, there's nothing like knowing you're eating stuff you made or grew yourself, I'm chuffed whenever I get to do that. Gers, glad you're on the cusp of being almost well, so disheartening when something can't be fixed straightaway. Izzy, your poor friend...maybe she needs an advocate ro soemthing to make sure she's getting the right treatment? The trouble is, people changing shifts and different nurses and doctors, they haven't got a clue...Ruby, might as well, everyone needs to make a living and if they're taking their eye off the ball, it doesn't bode well...but you would have the extra stuff involved in being self employed then I take it? Coxy, what a pain, hope you can find something else soon...TA, yes, i remember, his is not that bad, so I doubt it'll take a massively long time, how is she doing now? enjoy the lunch out! Scarlet, sounds like a nice evening to have, enjoy! Well done on sewing curtains too, they can be such a faff and you need space to do them properly....Allie, well, at least the seond fair was good, it's hard ot gauge soemtimes, which ones will be good or not. Right, I'm off, take care all....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I got up a bit later than I planned to, but I was comfy!
It's dry here this morning, yesterday it rained all day with some torrential showers .Little one phoned me after school with the exciting news that she's having an animal birthday party with real live animals ...I already knew as I said to DD I would pay half but played along that I didn't know. We just think she deserves it after all she goes through. It's not for a few weeks yet.
She had collapsed on the floor in the early hours yesterday even though she was on her feeding pump, one day she's going to bash her head on something hard. She'd gone back to sleep and then ate her breakfast and insisted on going to school.
I haven't heard yet if she's there today, she might have to go in on her feeding pump.
Right I'd best get moving as I need to go down to mam and dads this morning before work.
I hope you feel completely better very soon Gers and your friend Izzy - you couldn't make that up.
Hope everyone has a good day x
