Any not too expensive door bell with camera that will store footage to sd card or phone.

Hi folks,

Is there any inexpensive door bells that can act as a CCTV as well (preferably not bad at night time) and can store the footage to a Micro SD card or phone, preferably would like to hear from someone who has similar one.

I'm on the lookout for probably two.

I and both neighbours have Tapo doorbells and they just work as they are supposed to. Storage on SD card and work with Google and Alexa.
Bargain at the moment ...... Tapo 2K Doorbell

    We have a Tapo_C320 WS_7803
  • Thanks very much for replies, I have had a little think since I posted and would probably consider a fully fledged CCTV as well, would need two camera's I think and also the ability to be viewed over the internet, and ability to store any video without any monthly sub, probably in the range of £200-£300
for a video doorbell, maybe up to £50 so Tapo would fit in that range, thanks.

Where is the SD card inserted on this model.
    The price seems remarkably good.
    Thanks
  • Now that Tapo link, I'm tempted here!  Can I ask as regards installation,

1Do you have a backplate to the bell that you screw into the wall, or other method of fixing2
2 Regarding battery are they expensive and you have to replace a specific type that Tapo supply?
3 Regarding Video can I just go on app on phone anywhere and see the live feed, if there is a continuous one?

    Many thanks for more info.

    1)  Included are a mounting bracket, a mounting template, and 3M adhesive for a quick and easy installation. You can use screws (supplied) if you want to, but I've found the 3M pads ample and secure.
    2) I've not had to change my battery, it's in it's second year and still charging properly. It lasts months between charges.  I think Tapo sell replacements via Amazon for around £24.
    3) You can view anytime via the app for quick checks, it will let you view for a short time to conserve battery, but, it will give you the option to continue.

  • Thanks for all replies, can I add another similar tapo bell say to back of house and it will intergrate with the one I install at front, with back viewable on app as well.
