I haven't found a recent thread about this so here goes.
DH and are both in receipt of state pension, under 80, same address. So by my reckoning we're entitled to £200 WFA between us.
My WFA of £200 arrived safely, I was expecting it as I'd had a letter. I'm older than him, so I started receiving it a year before him, and of course last year it didn't happen.
Now he's had £200 drop into the account. I don't remember a letter for him.
Are they likely to go 'oops' and just claw it back, or will he have to phone them?
I ask because I usually move money out of that account into one which pays interest, and I'm planning to switch that account anyway.
And is this a widespread problem, or is he special?

Thanks, I had forgotten about that. Should we each have had it though?luvchocolate said:

I'm trying to find info for that year but I'm pretty sure each getting it was a mistake. £500 should have been per household (or £600 if someone was over 80).
The eligibility info for this year says if you individually claim an income-based benefit you'll get the whole lot, if you jointly claim then one of you will get the amount, and otherwise it's based on age and living with someone else eligible.
I can't see any situation where husband and wife would both get a full £200 each. Or even housemates, if they use the literal definition of 'live with'!
