Thank you. I’m sure if it really came down to it, proof of disability from my doctors and medical records would be slightly better than a blue badge for validation 😂 as you said, I’m covered by the equality act. Not sure why I thought a blue badge would or wouldn’t help me!1505grandad said:FYI - there is no "fine" involved - merely a speculative invoice issued by an unregulated scammer.
The Blue Badge is not applicable on private land but the Equality Act 2010 most certainly is:-

"The badge is for parking on the street.
It does not apply to car parks."I’m clearly not thinking very straight right now.1 -
hi I’ve just received a ‘Letter of Claim’

Follow the advice in the NEWBIE stick second post.

thank you I’ve just had a read of it, it specifically mentions BW Legal who the letter is from. So to clarify, the post is advising me to find BW Legals email address and email them directly? I saw the template, and it also adds after about adding something. I’m unsure what my defence is in this case, so I don’t know what to put. This was over a year ago so I barely remember. I think I parked up, never got out the car because I was anxious and left after I realised I wasn’t going to dare get out the car.

Don't add anything to it then. Or ask them for more details if you can't recall the incident. Why not ask them for:
- a picture of the sign taken on the day;
- a copy of the Notice to Keeper;
- all images taken and if CCTV, the moving images (full recording);
- whether their Claimant is relying on Schedule 4 of the POFA or not;
- whether any consideration period was allowed because you think the driver left in mere minutes but need to see their client's evidence,
You could also attach medical evidence of your PTSD diagnosis if you have it (if you wish) and tell BW Legal you are a vulnerable person and will require the 'breathing space' rules to be applied and debt recovery paused.
Do NOT say who was driving.
Not "I think I parked up and…"!
