AmEx UK Customer Services or Bereavement team e mail address

Has anyone had any luck in attempting to get an e mail address for UK customer services at Am Ex?
I am trying to deal with a  bereavement notification and despite the  bereavement team e mail address noted at the  top of the B. notification form -  i have received an auto message back saying I need to call as that e mail address is not monitored
a/ not much head space for that.
b/ at work so calling personal calls are tricky
and most significantly  c/  all my previous calls to customer services at Am Ex have been  most unsatisfactory   - not had any resolution at all

any help/guidance gratefully received

Do you have online access to Amex?

Could try their online chat rather than than calling, available from browser and app.

I have actually always found the Amex team on the phone to be great, particularly the uk based team during UK office hours. Having said that, if you have the Amex app, the best way is to use the chat function. I have never had to email Amex in almost 25 years aside of when the Platinum’s concierge required an email to make restaurant reservations.

email is a unsecure method of contact (could be anyone sending it) Which is why banks tend not to have a customer service one. Although some internal teams may if it is relation to something they are dealing with.

So sticking to phone is bast, if it is unsatisfactory, then raise a complaint.

  • thanks team  for the input - it seems it has to be a potentially lengthy phone at lunch time - just not helpful for us that work full time!
It is just a bit off to have an e mail for the form submission actually noted on the top of form to be be then told it isn't applicable....
