Trace Debt recovery and Moorside Legal. Parking fine.

Hi. I'm posting on behalf of my husband just to get a bit of advice. In 2024 he got a parking fine from being in his allocated parking space at work, but forgot to display his permit. He ignored the initial letters. However when the passed it to Trace and it was £170, he paid up later the same year . Since then he has been pursued for the debt. Despite sending evidence of payment. He had a confusing email hinting at an additional parking offence, yet despite asking received no details of this allegation. He had contact from Moorside Legal asking for payment and threatening Legal action. Again he sent proof of payment. Now he has a court letter stating he had initially agreed to pay within 28 days but didn't, and has since  refused to pay. Obviously this isn't true. Has anyone else had a similar experience. And have they been vindicated by the court. Or is this somehow a nightmare which he can't get out of despite having paid up last year?

Is the court letter a N1SDT claim form?  If so, please tell us the date of issue and show us the POC.  What did your husband's company say when he complained to them?

They are new (only been doing this for 18 months or so) but from our cases seen so far, Moorside will discontinue before the hearing.
