Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for today's thread. After overnight rain, today looks as if it's going to be another day of Will it, won't it rain? Fairly mild with a moderate breeze. It was bright and sunny an hour ago but is now grey and dull.
Yesterday I wrestled with the shopping list and have a delivery coming tomorrow. Some of it is for Christmas stuff, including a couple of presents that I'll wrap as soon as they arrive. I've also booked a slot for Christmas week but may or not keep that one, depending on what else I might need. It seems to get more and more like a military exercise every year!
After a fairly lazy weekend, I must make an effort today as there's a million and one things on the To Do list - a bit of an exaggeration perhaps, but that's how it feels! First up is soup making (celery & bacon) followed by slicing and freezing the rest of the gammon joint, plus whatever else needs doing in the food department. The kitchen gubbins drawer is now tidy and I was pleasantly surprised to find there was nothing in there that shouldn't have been.
There's a towels wash to go on but I'll not be hanging it out as I don't fancy doing the hokey cokey with it, even though the sun has just come out again. This afternoon I'll sit down and make myself write out the Xmas cards.
My sympathies with those suffering from UTIs - I've only ever had one (touch wood) and wouldn't want a repeat performance.
@AA - Pleased to hear yesterday's craft fair went better than Saturday's.
@Coxy - Somehow painting always needs more than one coat! It feels like painting the Forth Bridge.
@Ruby - I'm keeping my fingers crossed your new WM arrives soon, I don't think we realise just how much we need one until it isn't there.
@TA - Well done to your DGD on her gymnastics medals. I hope she enjoyed the film.
@Izzy - I still have a couple of Ringtons biscuit tins that were my DM's; I use one as a cake tin and the other has cornflour in it. The Ringtons van used to come round here to a neighbour's house but I haven't seen it in a long time since they moved.
@dp1 - Lovely crafting with LO, I'm sure her mum will like whatever she makes.
Right, time to make a move so I'll wish everyone a good day. Take care, usual hugs where needed. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
