Morning again, it's raining here.
Sorry to read you're not well Gers. I was a martyr to UTI's a couple of years ago, and no reason was ever found. I became resistant to the AB's at one point, had a bladder ct scan, ultrasound examination, and bladder camera. All tests came back clear. The Dr prescribed some new tablets which I take every 12 hrs, long term.
I went to Newcastle on Saturday didn't get a birthday present for dil, but bought other stuff I wanted. Predictably, it was busy, but I knew it would be.
I started altering some curtains yesterday, I'll finish them today and get them up. There's also a cushion cover needing a new zip, and I've started taking some trousers up.
I'm visiting one of my old house bound friends this afternoon. She only lives a short walk away, I'll stay for an hour or two and we'll put the world to rights.
Hope everyone has a good day if they can. Thoughts to the poorlies, Taff's dh, Izzy's friend and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.10 -
Morning all
Busy weekend. Saturday’s craft fair was mediocre and after driving back in the dark and fog I was a bit fed up. Anyway yesterday’s was really good. Half the price, had half as much table space and sold twice as much. It was well organised and attended and very well lit - I have come to the conclusion that this makes a big difference!I am however very weary. Just a couple of hours at college and then taking DM Christmas shopping 😬. Thankfully just some soup for dinner so no cooking.Best wishes for all the poorlies

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet - you're very busy!
It's been raining overnight but is dry now and set to be a decent day. I'm taking my friend's dog for a walk today for some fresh air and exercise, also saves her coming home at lunchtime. DD is bringing my car back today as I'm allowed to drive, may pop along to M&S for a few Christmas presents.
Chroes done yesterday morning then I sat with some knitting and watched TV, quite slothful really!
Hope you've taken your OH to hospital taff.
Your afternoon tea sounded lovely Ruby, glad your DM enjoyed that and meeting up with your relatives.
Get well vibes to your friend Izzy, that sounds awful for her.
How were your craft fairs Allie?
Hoping you're feeling better this morning Gers.
Have a happy Monday if you can. Take care. XX10 -

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x Have a good time with your friend x
I’m working later but don’t need to be there until 10am, so I’ll stick a wash on and get it on the airer before I go. I have some life admin to do when I get home as DSis and I have a fundraiser at the weekend.Hall, stairwell and landing were painted yesterday. Not too onerous but will need at least one if not two more coats later this week.
Dinner tonight is Pork Char Sui, a new to us recipe.Glad yesterday’s craft fair made up for Saturday @AlwaysAllie. I did some with Mum last year and found the same.

Morning all
It’s been raining overnight but clear for now, more due later I think.
Im off to mums this morning she wanted to go to hobby craft and then get lunch at the garden centre, I will give the kitchen a good clean before we go, I will also take a load of towels to wash. I should hear about the new wm by tomorrow, I’m hoping they can deliver it this week 🤞
I wrapped all the Christmas presents yesterday which is my worst job of all so I am glad they are out of the way, anymore I get will be done as I get them or soon after but I think I only need a few more stocking fillers. I then sat and wrote all the cards mostly for friends and neighbours but a four to send, I will get some second class stamps when I am out.
Dinner tonight will be pie and mash there is some cauli and broccoli cheese left from yesterday and some garlic roasted butternut squash so no need to do any veg.
Taff I hope your OH got home ok and gets his foot sorted xx
Gers are you feeling better ? Hugs to you xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A dank and miserable start here, one of those days when it's never going to be daylight. Yesterday the rain was horrendous, at times hailstones were clattering down making a real racket.
No gold medals yesterday for DGD but she did get a silver for the floor, bronze for beam and 4th place for her least favourite - asymmetrical bars. It was an awfully long competition which went on for hours whilst sitting on the most uncomfortable seats ever! As these things do it seriously over ran and DD was panicking as they were booked at the cinema for 5.40 for 6.00 start! They ran in at a minute to 6.00!
Whilst lying in in bed early doors I was making a mental list of all the things I intend to do today. I'll be lucky if even half of them get done! First job is to be a big pan of soup using the stock from yesterday's gammon joint. I think today's offering will be Pea & Ham. Then a sort out of the fridge and freezing stuff approaching use by date. I hate having to chuck stuff away.
GERS I hope you are feeling a bit better. I share SCARLET's Uti history as you will remember from my moaning on here at the time. I had every procedure going and endless different tablets before I was declared untreatable and discharged on a prophylaxis of 1 a/b a day, plus 2 more tablets. Approx 10 years on this regime has kept me uti and pain free.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Plus the getting better and hoping Mr Taff gets sorted out too. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning everyone
It's rained most of the weekend and still raining!
I had little one to stay on Saturday night, she came straight from her friends' birthday party which she really enjoyed, there had been an entertainer/magician.
We made a start on her mums Christmas presents - two mosaic coasters which are at the cleaning off the putty stage. I also bought a diamond art dream catcher kit for her to make...it was so complicated and the numbers on it were so so tiny, we worked on it for about an hour and only managed a tiny bit. So I've come up with a plan B and will save that to do to go in her bedroom at some point and bought a much easier childrens' dreamcatcher kit, not as fancy but we will decorate it with stick on gems to make it beautiful!
Gers - I hope you get sorted soon, I'm the same as a couple of the others - on tablets to stop re-occurences.
Ruby well done on wrapping your presents....I've got as far as lifting the box of paper and bags down from the cupboard!
Always allie = pleased to hear your craft fair yesterday went well.
Izzy - hope your friend has had her op and gets home soon
TA - well done to your granddaughter. I bet the film they were going to see was Wicked?
Right, must get moving, or I'll get nothing done before work
Hope everyone has a good day x
