Interesting SAR results from a retailer Should the next step be to use Consumer Dispute Resolution?

At retailer's suggestion, I submitted a Subject Access Request to their SAR team & the resulting SAR document revealed numerous red flags relating to one of their partners - eg allegations which went unchallenged, multiple chases by retailer due to lack of timely/any updates & also asking the partner if they'd contacted me to discuss my initial evidence & Appeal points ( the partner didn't reply & no, they didn't ever contact me). Despite this, the retailer rejected my appeal. I'm putting together a document to submit to CDRL, but would like to know if anyone used CDRL for this type of dispute resolution & found it worth the effort. The document is coming up to 80 pages (a lot of photos). I know CDRL may find against me but at least I'd feel someone has seriously examined my evidence. Thank you

I don't think anybody can comment meaningfully without some context.Full_Story said:At retailer's suggestion, I submitted a Subject Access Request to their SAR team & the resulting SAR document revealed numerous red flags relating to one of their partners - eg allegations which went unchallenged, multiple chases by retailer due to lack of timely/any updates & also asking the partner if they'd contacted me to discuss my initial evidence & Appeal points ( the partner didn't reply & no, they didn't ever contact me). Contrary to your user name, this seems to be anything other than the Full Story.5 -
I totally agree with you. I shall ask for my post to be deleted. best wishesGrumpy_chap said:

Why not post some information to allow people to try and help?Full_Story said:

No, it's my fault. I thought I could just ask "I would like to know if anyone used CDRL for this type of dispute resolution & found it worth the effort." and that would be enough. ie members who had used CDRL could say "Yes" or "No" & why.
I also thought this was enough context without going into too much detail & naming names.

I'll also change my user name to something more achievable.

Well, when people try to help, simply asking for the post to be deleted is maybe disrespectful. People in these forums do genuinely try to assist and in a non-judgemental way. Everything is anonymous in these forums. Likewise, my suggestion that context would make assistance easier to provide was trying my best to help.Full_Story said:I totally agree with you. Perhaps, rather than requesting the post to be deleted, it would be fairer to either ask for the thread to be locked or to simply say, pretty much as you have said, "I don't wish to share any more information so accept that makes it more difficult to comment - I will let this thread fade away." That also means, if someone has the specific direct experience you suggest, they may also see the thread and be able to assist you more fully:Full_Story said:No, it's my fault.
