Better seller protection for INR cases

I’m trying to find a proper link but if this link works it is extremely good news for INR cases where sellers buy the labels through eBay.

https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/Extended-Item-Not-Received-protections/ba-p/7935421

What’s changing?

Before: Seller issues a refund to close an INR case. If the parcel is delivered later, the seller will not recover their refund and it will be lost.

From November 2025: If tracking shows delivered within 30 days after a seller has refunded, eBay will reimburse the item cost and remove any negative or neutral feedback directly linked to the claim and regarding delivery.

This link is better, full protection for INR cases where eBay labels show item was sent, except I now can’t find d the second link that said that!

Oh dear perhaps I misunderstood the current arrangement, I thought eBay already took the responsibility for items lost in transit (as long as tracking showed it was dispatched) and so sellers kept their money?  Or was that only for 'buyer pays' postage?

They do for simple delivery, they take all responsibility as long as item shows as sent using the SD label. This appears to relate to non SD items, where custom postage is used and labels are bought from eBay.
