Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's not a bad morning as far as I can tell
I didn't go to Newcastle yesterday, the forecast said it was going to be a better day today, not as cold, so I'll go today. It's certainly not as frosty as it has been.
I did stuff about the house yesterday, tidied the freezer, it can always stand a tidy, and the usual other jobs. Dh is going through his hobby stuff and getting rid of things, we seem to be becoming obsessive tidiers! If there's such a word.
I'll check to see what Christmas cards I've got before I go out, then can buy some if necessary. I send fewer than ever now mainly because of the price of stamps. I hand deliver a lot though. I was going through my stores of Christmas wrapping and gift tags and seem to have quite a bit, but I bought a couple of rolls of paper in a panic last year when I thought I needed it, and I don't like it, but it seems wasteful just to recycle. Gift tags and money wallets are easily made though, and I don't use as many now.
Hope our poorly people are feeling a bit better, and that everyone has as good a day as they can. Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A bit milder here this morning, no frost or snow. But (always a but isn't there!) it looks a bit wet out there so we must have had o/n rain and the coming days sound much similar.
TAFF your poor OH, it all sounds a bit worrying and I hope he can get an x-ray soon. Btw I meant to answer your suggestion of putting my hoarded scarves over the bed! They are not woolly scarves they are the flimsy silky variety so I don't think there would be much warmth in them!
I have the excitement of the SS today at some point. It's to be Sainsbobs again and I can't get round there so fast as I have forgotten where most stuff is, so DS will be chomping at the bit when I finally limp along to the finishing post.
SCARLET good luck with your shopping trip, I really must put my mind to it soon. I am ok for cards, money envelopes, paper, gift bags etc but am still at a standstill as regards gifts, I hate the traipsing around, pondering and then still not buying. And to think I used to love the excitement of it once of a day.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Thinking too of poorly rellies. DP1 I hope last night was uneventful and much enjoyed. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all. It's a drizzly one here and still cold. 16 degrees downstairs

Currently sat watching the collapse of England cricket in the Ashes but need to stir to make more tea. We had a good time at DD's yesterday and sorted out a few food contributions for Christmas, which this year will be on Christmas Eve, due to various other commitments.
Today will be a pottering day so I might start writing Christmas cards and then make a cake, although we brought some left over Brownies home with us last night.
Hugs to all the poodles and hope everyone's day goes well.10 -
Morning All
Dull and a bit foggy this morning. Yesterday's murk turned into rain later, it was battering the window when I went to bed and blowing a gale so I closed the bedroom window - very unusual for me.
After a walk to Aldi yesterday I made soup (fell asleep for an hour) and finished the book I was reading so will go to the library this morning and buy a couple of bits whilst I'm out.
DS's trip to the UK has been postponed again, now maybe Monday or Tuesday, I'll see him if he arrives as I'm not going anywhere!
Hope your OH gets seen somewhere taff.
Enjoy your trips out Scarlet and TA.
Hope you're feeling better this morning Gers.
Have a good weekend. Take care. XX9 -
Morning everyone thanks for the start GERS I hope your DH is alright TAFF what a worry especially when they are not at home my friend is hopefully getting her operation today it’s been promised and put off a few times I rang her last night she was demented I could hear a lady shouting my friend said she was trying to escape she thought the police had kidnapped her she had dementia poor soul another one was deaf and had the television full blast I don’t think she will have had much sleep she said she had asked for a bed pan of four different nurses when one eventually brought her one she ended up dropping it on her she was covered then they said she could have something to eat then they said she couldn’t have any then she could when I rang her last night she hadn’t had a bite to eat she will be pleased to be home her family is going in today and they will take her some food in . It’s cold and miserable here but no frost I need to go and get some shopping but I won’t be out long I cooked a little ham joint last night when I got in and made some peas pudding so that’s today sorted otherwise it’s housework. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I need to go into town and get some Christmas bits, gift cards for mam and euros for eldest DD.
I've got a pile of ironing to do but that can wait till later. I bought a dehumidifier, on DDs recommendation and am really pleased with it, it dries the washing so much faster than just draping it over the airer.
Little one rang on their way home from Disney on ice, she'd loved it - no doubt she'll want to be an ice skater now! She managed the full day at school yesterday, so that was good. She has a birthday party to go to this afternoon, it's an exciting weekend.
The Amazon delivery man won't be impressed with me today as I bought 4 boxes of cat food on a Black Friday deal, as well as some presents.
Right, hope everyone has a good day x9 -
