  • I have always bought batteries online from these guys: http://www.tayna.co.uk.

They would have delivered the Corsa battery to your door for £39.45.

If anyone needs a Vauxhall battery then try you local Vauxhall dealer. They sell a range called Go which is made by Delco and has the same little window to check on the condition of the battery. I checked in Halfords and they wanted £75 for a battery and the Vauxhall dealer wanted £43.

Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself. :)

  • Thanks for the advice to go to the Vauxhall dealer...
We have a petrol Corsa 1.2, 53 plate
Local Vauxhall dealer sold us a 50AH (Amp-Hours) capacity battery for £49 (inc VAT)
Halfords standard battery for the car is HB063 which is 41AH unit for £64.99
According to the dealer, the original equipment for this car was a 36AH battery but vauxhall have standardised their battery range and don't sell a 36AH model now.

The higher capacity and lower price means that the Vauxhall dealer definitely beat Halfords on this one!
