Website misrepresentation?

I was looking at a titanium pan which is over £100 from Siraats Kitchen
They advertise a 100 day trial but when checking Refunds T&C's it states item must be in unused condition. I emailed the company to clarify the 100 day trial. This was their reply:
"The 100-day trial allows you to return your order within 100 days, as long as the item is unused. Since cookware comes into direct contact with food, we can only accept returns that haven’t been cooked with"
Surely this is misrepresentation and should be reported to someone (Trading Standards?). Needless to say I will not be buying from them.

It will depend on the rules of the Netherlands.frugalfiz said:I was looking at a titanium pan which is over £100 from Siraats Kitchen

SECTION 18 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Netherlands.
So its no use reporting to trading standards in the UK.3 -
Its also odd as titanium is no more or less non-stick than steel - its only real claim to fame therefore should be on the fact it will be lighter than a stainless steel pan but they focus on no harmful chemicals which equally applies to stainless steel. Even one of the videos states it sticks badly if it's not hot enough, the same as steel.
There are a number of reasons why I'd be avoiding them, plus any argument with them would have to be done in the Netherlands, according to their terms, which just adds complexity thats unnecessary.0 -
The 100 day trial is to allow you to try out various positions in your kitchen to make sure that your very expensive pan is displayed to maximum advantage - obviously it shouldn't be used for cooking stuff.user1977 said:
Why? The details are as stated in their FAQ and in the Terms and Conditions on the website.frugalfiz said:

Indeed, it's an absurd concept, but the restrictions are on the website, so other than the product page calling it a "trial" I'm not sure there's a breach of anything here - but I don't know what Netherlands consumer law is on this.flaneurs_lobster said:

(might also have some doubt about whether they're genuinely in the Netherlands, giving their shipping time is no faster to Netherlands addresses than to anywhere else in Europe)0 -
I was asking why you had emailed them when the info they sent is already on the website. Surely the first thing you'd look at is how such returns are dealt with e.g. who is paying postage etc.frugalfiz said:0 -
It sounds cooler. I think that's basically the only thing it offers.MyRealNameToo said:Its also odd as titanium is no more or less non-stick than steel - its only real claim to fame therefore should be on the fact it will be lighter than a stainless steel pan but they focus on no harmful chemicals which equally applies to stainless steel.
