seems like a scam

Hi everyone,

Been parking in a local NCP for over 2 years and lately been a lot of drug users and homeless sleeping there when people arrive early in morning 

A few weeks ago a NCP staff member seen the situation of people in there and told me to park in an unused EV bay , when I told him my car was not an EV he said there has never been a charger there and it’s been over 4 years since they was going to install but won’t be anytime soon  so it would be fine 

I have now parked there a few times over last month as the drug users sleeping here is getting worse by the day

Yesterday I received a letter to say I was having a £100 fine for parking in the bay

I called and was told to appeal and it should be ok 

Email received back saying appeal rejected as it’s been issued correctly 

The bay has no charger or ever has and nowhere says I can’t park there 

The only signage is this photo saying there will be a charger soon but thats been there for over 3 years 

Please help as they say there is another 2 fines in the post for the 3 times I’ve parked in the last few weeks 

What’s even worse is that other people in the office have parked there and had no letter so looks like I’ve been singled out and looks like a member of staff took the photos attached to the PCN 

Tell the customer to park there and then report them seems a massive scam to me 

t all seems a bit of a scam to be honest and another thing to add is that my app stopped working 4 days before this fine and hasn't been able to use since yet I can log into other accounts so its not my phone but nobody can log into my account seeming it like they have blocked me 8 calls over a week snd they say there is nothing wrong with my account but no explanation as to why my app no longer works for my account only

Is there a reason why you think a particular member of staff woud single you out?

There are no fines, just invoices.

My app stopped working a few days before this fine and after 4 emails and 4 calls still wont work so looks like they have banned me and locked my account ,  nobody seems to know why but all looks very suspicious and I have no idea why they have singled me out but thats what it looks like

Is it an issue with the app/software or is your account blocked/no longer active.

it wont log me in yet I can log into any other account using my phone and nobody else can log into my account using any other phone so they have most defiantly out some sort of block or hold on my account for I dont have any reason for as I have always paid daily on the app

They have not blocked your account. You are their perfect 'customer' because you have got PCNs, just what they want!

Reinstall the app.

...and STOP phoning them and STOP appealing as admitted driver (which is what it sounds like you did).

Compare all PCNs that arrive, to my NTK pictures thread, then come back & tell us if you have POFA NTKs or non-POFA worded?

Please don't ask us to look for you. We want you to learn & understand the difference by comparing.

Also this weekend or next week, go back and get photos of the fake 'EV bay' and lack of signs visible from that bay. If the employee is there, obviously seize the moment and secretly record him on your phone.

Don't mention the PCNs. Bite your lip about them!

Just ask again "you told me last time that it is OK to park there. Are you sure? Is it still OK?"

Dynamite evidence if you can sneakily record him telling you to park there... go on...
