They owe you £40 compensation then on top of your credit for failing to provide you with a refund within 10 working days of the final bill. Make sure they pay up.0

But have the previous bills been estimates or actual readings?
Do readings tally with new supplier?Life in the slow lane0 -
If they owe £40 compensation then it sounds like they might owe additional £40 if they did not pay the initial £40 compensation within 10 working days of the breach occurring.Swipe said:They owe you £40 compensation then on top of your credit for failing to provide you with a refund within 10 working days of the final bill. Similar situation here. I left Octopus on 3rd Oct. Took to 7th Nov to get the final bill and they said it would be 7-10 working days for payment. Today is day 10 and no sign of my refund!0

Nice little earner then. At least you've had your final bill. I left E.On Next nearly 5 weeks ago and no sign of it. I'll chase them for my £40 when it reaches 6 weeks. Hopefully I can get the full £160 off them when they are late with my bill, refund and 2 lots of late compensation payments. Crazy that they pay around £180K a year on compensation for late bills, refunds and late payments.HouseMartin567 said:Similar situation here. I left Octopus on 3rd Oct. Someone from E.On Next must have been reading this thread.
I've just had my bill. I was really looking forward to that extra £40 too. 1
