O2 system malfunction

Hello,

I contacted O2 on Monday regarding the right to leave the airtime plan due to the price increase. Im disabled and find things like dealing with switching difficult so when they offerered me a better airtime deal I decided to stay with them so I didnt have to try and switch my numbers to another provider. I was happy with the deal I was offered under half price of what I was currently paying and more data. I currently have 5 lines with them 2 with handsets. I asked again and again to make sure the handsets were still set up to pay monthly by direct debit and was assurred they were.

2 days later i recieve my bill. I checked and no device plans listed. Ive contacted O2 and been told when the airtime and device plan were uncoupled there was a glitch in the system and the device plans have also been cancelled. She told me they are pending cancelation and there is nothing they can do. Ive been told I will recieve the bill for the devices (£1400) in the next 14 days.

I told her that should not have happened and asked for it to be reinstated which Ive been told is impossible. She told me once I recieve my bill either pay it or contact them again to set up a payment plan. She said it may effect my credit rating which ive spent years building and never missed any payments. She said if that happens they will try and fix it.

I am so frustrated with O2. Has this happened to anybody else as it feels like im been punished for trying to leave them.
