DLA refusal and MR

My daughter has got refused DLA. We received the decision back on 27th August. I have been in contact with a benefit advisor within a charity for her condition  (she has Glycogen Storage Disease). I requested back statement of reasons and then the DLA completed form back (this took 3 phone calls, as none of the forms were returned to me).

I am wondering what my next steps should be. I know it’s 4 weeks for an MR request but it can be requested within 13 months. What advice do you give? Request an MR via phone, giving my reasons for a late request or complete the MR letter, giving the reasons on paper. Or complete a new claim.

Thanks.

I always request the MR in writing outlining exactly where you feel they were wrong and how you feel she meets the requirements. You can't really do that over the phone

Do you think I should still try to request the MR even though we are past the deadline?
