Combined postage for extra items .. Simple Delivery

A buyer has just bought 3 items from me, which were listed using the Simple Delivery option.
I'm not really sure how this works. Oh, I see eBay have added 'get prepaid label' so I guess this is for all three items. I just hope it doesn't go over the 2kg limit.
Now, the same buyer has put in offers for two more items, with the note .. if I accept his offers, can these be posted together with the first three items he bought. If the 2kg limit was tight for three items, I am 100% sure it will be too low for all 5
What do I do, assuming I want to accept his offers
thank you

I'm not sure it's possible to manually combine multiple transactions into one postage with simple delivery. It's great to hear eBay did with the first lot (were the 3 all purchased in one transaction?) but so far I don't think you can rely on being able to add another transaction for the same parcel.
Weight-wise, I see what you mean. The buyer is probably thinking you can do it manually so they just have to pay any extra if it goes into the next weight band, like it used to be. But unless you do find anything that says it would be possible, you might just have to message the buyer to say the new eBay postage won't let you do that.1 -
Unfortunately any further purchases can’t be added to the current order. Just politely explain that to the buyer, now that eBay control the postage you are rather tied in what you can do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OP here
Update
Both parcels ended up being lost by EVRi
eBay refunded the first three items, which had been combined by eBay into one postal label.
The 4th item was also refunded by eBay.
However, the 5th item .. which I had stuck in the same package as number 4 was not refunded. I ended up refunding this one.
Prior to doing anything, I had contacted eBay and they said I could do what I did .. combine items 4 and 5 in one package.
I've since contacted ebay again and actually gort the 5th item refunded too, to me this time
I did learn something though
The first three items were put in a 'basket' first by the buyer, then paid for. eBay therefore knows this to be a single package.and issues a single label.
My buyer had then bought two more items as two separate transactions, which is why two labels were issued.
So basically, as long as items are put in a basket then purchased 'as one' only one postage label will be produced.0 -
The basket thing works out badly (sometimes) for the postage though.
If an item is listed as 1kg small parcel and a buyer purchases 3 of them then ebay combine and charge for a 3kg parcel.
That's fine if the items weigh 1kg each but if it's a 250g item they still charge for 3kg when the postage cost should be the same.
This happens even if the seller had put the size and weight into the listing details.
