british gas issued a CCJ on a wrong amount of £1224.32 when amount owed was £276.24 have asked for all my account details but not getting anywhere at all

British Gas can't issue a CCJ.  Only a judge in a court can do that. CCJ = County Court Judgement.

Have you missed a court hearing, or are British Gas just making threats at the moment?

It's complicated it's in my name but I wasn't the one supposed paying it or not paying it as I found out later I know I have a case to have it set aside but my sister in-law works in debt department of a utility company and said they would have it set aside themselves and pay compensation for the stress as the amount was so far out and also repair my credit file ofi missed payments as missed payments were supposedly for amounts I didn't actually owe a bill of £276 you don't panic and hope it goes away but a bill of £1200 + some people do .panic I have now set up payments myself and paid last 3 months but British gas have told TransUnion I've still missed payments I have lost another 44 points of my credit score for none payment and god knows how many for ccj money I didn't owe
