Apple account blocked

Hi. Looking for advice regarding an apple
account.. I recently purchased a refurbished iPhone from backmarket, phone arrived looking good and fully reset.
Issues started after I’d logged into my Apple account, pop ups keeps appearing asking for passwords which were denied. Checked said account on Apple website and account was locked. 2weeks chasing Apple for a reason and could only tell me for security reasons. So to cut a long story short, back market agreed to a return, the supplier says we can’t do anything because the device is now iCloud locked, Apple won’t say anymore, No sign of a replacement or refund so I’m now stuck in a loop between backmarket and the supplier. Any consumer advice welcome. TIA.

Wonder if the device was stolen originally before original delivery (logistics heist), 'bought' and sold to backmarket and the IMEI was flagged later by Apple and locked out permanently as a result.
Backmarket need to refund if the device is unusable, if Apple have locked the device thats between backmarket and apple.0 -
Ithink Blacxkmarket is a market place as their refund policies state return to your seller.oldernonethewiser said:Thejukeboxman said:Hi. Looking for advice regarding an apple

Your issue is with Apple - for some reason they've locked your iCloud account and you need to find why.
If the phone is locked because of the iCloud account being shut down by Apple for *reasons*, you won't get a refund or replacement as the device is essentially bricked. It's Apple that have done this, so you need to take it up with them.0 -

Learn something new everyday. As I asked previously is your Apple account now locked? If so, as mentioned by DeathByFluffy, your issue is with Apple not BackMarket.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0
