Driving through Hungary EPC PLC
I know this has been covered but haven’t seen anything recent or updates from people who sought advice.
we were driving through Hungary back in August and have now received a charge of £107.37 if we pay within 60 days of receiving the letter 14/10/25 if not charges goes up.
It’s our fault we did not purchase a Vignette at the time as we realised once we were in Slovakia we required one. We did go online but we were not allowed to purchase one for the same day travel.
can anyone offer any advice? What will happen if we ignore this out of principle?
thank you guys any help will be appreciated

I know this has been covered but haven’t seen anything recent or updates from people who sought advice.Have you wondered why? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

UPDATE
Hi All, we have now recieved a letter from trace DEBT RECOVERY demanding a payment of £328.53! OTT if you ask me!
I am attaching the letter for you to see but it basically states choices on how to pay and they are looking after the case.
It is too late to appeal, they can agree on affordable plan and the client can take legal proceedings at any stage.
Do you guys have any advice? Shall i agree to affordable payment plan? I cant afford really to be paying even further……
Thank you
