We bought what we thought was going to be our 'forever home' about 12 years ago. Having done all we could afford to, we fell out of love with the house a few years later and wanted to move on. We ended up moving into rented to aid a sale which ultimately fell through so after a further failed sale we decided to rent it out as we were tied into a tenancy where we were living, and we still own the house now. We've since made plans for how we'd renovate the house when the current tenants move out and we're planning to move back in once it's been renovated. We're excited at the thought of doing the work that needs to be done and it will hopefully make the house our forever home again.There's also sentimental value in the house as both our children were born in the house and although the bedrooms will be a bit smaller than where we currently live, they are both looking forward to moving back... could be waiting a while though
