UC joint tenancy not with partner HELP

It is probably a requirement of the LL's mortgage (if there is one) that all adult occupiers are named on the Tenancy agreement. Even if there is not mortgage, the LL will want that to be so as it impacts the process to evict should it become necessary.kittykat20 said:they want him on the tendency agreement
I doubt the LL will accept two separate agreements as that risks creating a HMO, which is an altogether different ball game.
As others have mentioned, it may not be simple to demonstrate not living as a family unit and requiring joint UC claim0 -
If it isn't a joint UC claim, there'll be a living together visit in any case.0

Wouldn't there be a risk that the LL will backtrack on removing the children's father from the tenancy agreement down the line? 2 names rather than 1 to go after for any unpaid rent, and as he is not on benefits, he would be viewed as more likely to be able to pay. And that UC will deem OP liable for only half of the rent for as long as another adult remains on the tenancy agreement.

I think this is very likely what would happen.Kim_13 said:Wouldn't there be a risk that the LL will backtrack on removing the children's father from the tenancy agreement down the line? 2 names rather than 1 to go after for any unpaid rent, and as he is not on benefits, he would be viewed as more likely to be able to pay. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
