Update my wife paid for 6 missing years on 14th January 2026

Just For Information for anyone like my wife who paid voluntary class 2 contributions and hasn't had them allocated to the relevant years the following is the response from an adviser on the Chat yesterday:

Please be aware that updates to your National Insurance record are not immediate. It can take up to 52 weeks from the date of payment for the contributions to be fully allocated to the relevant tax years and for your online NI record and State Pension forecast to reflect the changes. There is no further action needed from you at this stage. Your record will update automatically once processing is complete.........

however when we pushed him a bit he said he would sort it out and her NI record should reflect that within 72 hours.....I will update later this week….
