Student loan for studying abroad

Hi.  My daughter is hoping to do her 3rd year of undergrad in Canada.  It looks like she will have to take out a loan to prove she has sufficient funds.  She currently studies in Glasgow.  Do UK banks offer this ?  Can she access student loans?

She is studying in Glasgow — is she an English or a Scottish student, as in which jurisdiction will any student loan fall under? Does she not get any student loan at the moment?
I can’t see a bank giving her a loan with no income, but would you be in a position to take one out or act as guarantor on her behalf?

Ireland isn't Canada, but when my eldest did his year in industry in Ireland he received a loan from SLC just like he would if living & studying in England.
A typical student loan might not be enough, of course:

... depending on how much "sufficient" is. Do you know how much she needs to meet this requirement?
