But am a bit confused.
Seen one that comes with a usb -c charging cable.
So far so good.
But it has a 11volt battery.
I think normal usb chargers are 5v.
So how is this cleaner charged.
Thanks

A suitable USB-C charger can deliver a higher voltage if requested by the charging device, known as Power Delivery. It's possible to get up to 48V according to the PD spec.

Some tools take the standard 5 V from any USB charger and use an internal DC-to-DC boost converter to raise the voltage to whatever the battery chemistry requires.1

Any voltage in principle can charge any battery when the device is turned off, it will just impact how long it takes to charge it up. Unfortunately speed to charge and discharge arent intrinsically linked, to protect the battery, deal with heat etc they may only allow a very slow charge meaning a long charge time (but hopefully a longer battery life overall).
You'd expect a light to appear whilst charging which changes colour when its full or goes off or something to indicate its not actively charging any more.1 -
We too were looking for a handheld vacuum cleaner after our GTech handheld wouldn't hold it's charge for long and the suction was going. We opted for the a Shark Liftaway Vacuum in the end, as the name suggests the cylinder lifts away from the vacuum itself so you can use it as a handheld and it's excellent. It saves us having to charge another device and is always ready to go, the suction is great, the only downside is that we need to plug it in but it has a long lead.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
