Topcashback via Trip advisor

I have booked an excursion in Norway through Tripdavisor via topcashback.
In my TCB account it says it's pending (which it would be as it's not till Feb) but the cash back amount is £0.00. I have tried contacting both but they just refer me back to each other.
Has anyone be successful in a TCB refund with Trip Advisor?

Archer girl you did not book through TripAdvisor because they are just a platform selling space for 3rd party holiday sellers.
So you have booked through a seller. You need to find the name of the company.
My advice would be to remove your purchase if possible without penalty and book directly.
Viator does come under the TripAdvisor brand name but is a separate 3rd party seller. Trouble if things don't go to plan you have the original company saying get your refund through Viator and Viator saying TripAdvisor. Neither have customer support.
Book directly with the local company running the trip you like.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

It's tracking that is all that matters. Many do not track with a amount.Archergirl said:I have booked an excursion in Norway through Tripdavisor via topcashback.

Read the T/C on the top cashback page on how it works..
Pointless wasting time contacting companies.Life in the slow lane0 -
My car and home insurance are showing at 0.00 on TCB at the moment. Bought a week ago. I'm assuming it's like that as they don't start until the end of the month and I could change my mind and cancel. I'm not expecting to see any money until the New Year, after the ins. Co cancellation period too.0

A retailer will never get involved with cashback as it's nothing to do with your contract with the retailer. There are often quirks with the tracking of cashback and it's not unusual to see it track at 0.00 and later uplift.
However you can submit a ticket in the TCB Customer Service section found in My Account. Select "Missing Cashback" and you'll see an option for tracked at wrong amount and you can fill the form from there. It's unlikely they'll do anything immediately as the cashback won't be due until after your trip. But at least it will be logged.
Cashback is never guaranteed, the MSE advice is to think of it as a bonus, but not to make purchase decisions based on cashback alone Top cashback sites: Make £100s when you shop online – MSE0 -
This is very common - it's mentioned in TCB's FAQs and has been discussed on here many times.
As long as it's tracked (which it has) the amount will update later in the process.0
