Currys Support plan

Hello all
I bought a tv from currys back in 2022. I took out the support plan which at the time included accidental damage. Unfortunately my child recently damaged the TV and I called up currys to get it fixed/changed. Only to be told they no longer include accidental damage in their care plan now (was changed last year and I was suppose to have received a letter). Only thing they are offering is a refund of the change of plan from last year to end of my plan contract. Does this sound legit. I would think they would uphold all plans before the change?

Do the terms of the contract you signed up to include any clauses about how variations are handled?
Edit: is it the Care & Repair plan documented at https://www.currys.co.uk/services/care-services/care-repair.html ?1 -
At least they are offering a refund.
You can use that to part pay for new TV.Life in the slow lane0 -

This is the new plan they do. This is not the plan I took out at the time. There was nothing to sign. They only ask if we wanted cover and told us what it included and we said yes.0 -
They are offering a refund for the insurance, which is like £50 not for the tv.born_again said:At least they are offering a refund.

You surely have some paperwork or an email with the original contract terms? And you must have agreed/signed something in order to make the payment.jamenglish said:

At the foot of that page it has the Ts & Cs of previous versions of the plan, going back to February 2020, so unless there was some sort of bespoke arrangement that you were offered in 2022 then it would seem likely that this care & repair plan is what you'd have bought? Either way, you'd need to locate the original paperwork to support any claim that you were no longer being offered something you were previously entitled to....jamenglish said:
