With talktalk internet, then phone got cut off and said you need to pay £130, we called and paid. When ever I look onto my account it says my email is not recognised. Then I went on live chat and asked I want to see my bills but I cant get onto my account, I know the number but it says some error. When I spoke they said you need to register and I said Ive tried lots of times but I get this error, an its because the name I needed to put in my first and middle name together in first name. ANyway I finally get onto my account and it says they charged me £130 a month for calls each month totalling £500+. I took out talktalk becasue it was £35 internet and £2 a month digital voice which I was under the impression it was unlimited calls if you have that. I still have no idea why the digital voice isnt used. What can I do?

Digital Voice just means that a phone line is made available via the internet service for £2/month.

There are NO inclusive calls, it is a pay as you go service so every call is chargeable apart from the usual freephone numbers.

Edit : I left TT a while ago but calls to other TT customers used to be free.

You have made an expensive and incorrect assumption and will have to pay the bill or risk getting your phone service suspended again.

As others have said , a basic paid for telephone service with Talk Talk , ( and it doesn’t matter if the telephone instrument is connected to the router or socket on the wall )  is on a PAYG basis , so each call is charged for depending on its duration, (apart from freephone numbers like 0800 ) if you didn’t realise this and have  made many calls assuming your £2 service charge covered this , then you have mad a very expensive mistake

…I don’t know TT’s exact rate , but Unlimited type inclusive calls plans from other providers are often in the range  £12 to £20 a month , and for anyone that makes collectively more than a hours worth of calls per month is going to benefit from that type of unlimited plan , anyone on a PAYG plan should really only use the landline for outgoing calls as a last resort, and certainly limit the amount of time they spend on that call or calls  , it’s not unusual for the PAYG rate to be around £0.30p a minute,  so a single 1 hour call can be £18 , so you can see , someone making an 1 hour call , two or three times a week for a month can generate an enormous telephone bill.
