All showered and packed up in my hotel room. No breakfast this morning as I'm booked on the early coach.Alice Robert's was so good. She has excellent knowledge and shares it out in such a calm, yet enthusiastic way. And she was dressed in a long sleeveless dress with a strong geometric design. The talk wasn't about faith, she showed the fall of the Roman Empire as Christianity became the state religion. Fascinating.I moved seats at the interval as a really huge man sat in front of me - I don't mean fat but extremely tall and well built. I couldn't see past his head and he kept moving around so I had restricted views of either AR or the screen! There were four unoccupied seat across the aisle so I had a brilliant view for the second half. It was a long show, three hours wirh a short'ish interval.@DP1 - I hope that the news of your little one is better after her trip to the hospital. She's really going through the mill, as is your DD. 💕
@Floss - I'm not planning to see Brian Cox this time round. I saw him a couple of years ago at a theatre, can't be doing with stadiums or arenas, too many people for my comfort. For now I hope that all have survived storm Claudia and are well. (Or at least well"ish).6 -
Morning GERS and all to follow. What a blooming wet day it was yesterday, by evening we were getting a right battering of rain. Fortunately the wind wasn't as bad as expected, but bad enough. It's still raining now but thankfully not as heavy.
A quickie from me as it's an early doors grocery shop with DS. By my usual standards I have quite a long list today. Still no frozen stuff as I'm still working my way through it. No other plans for the day but there are the usual jobs lurking if I cba.
Have a good day folks if you can and I hope nobody is flooded. They look pretty widespread watching the news this morning. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6 -
Morning all. Still wet here but not actually raining. Yesterday I had flood warnings come through on the landline, by email and by text message and I did consider moving my car in case we were marooned again but so far all is well here.
It was nice to see DS on Thursday when he popped up. I sent him back with a bag of things from his old wardrobe to sort out plus he borrowed my cabin sized suitcase as they are going to Sicily for a few days soon. He and his wife are expecting their first baby in April so we're going to be grandparents again!
DH and I are pottering today and then driving to a Morris Ale this evening - my fourth Saturday Ale in a row, but I'm not complaining. Tomorrow we plan to walk the proposed Christmas Lights route in London as I'm taking a group of friends there at the end of the month.
I hope Little One is recovering and everyone else is doing well.

DP1 I hope the little one is feeling better soon what a worry for you all and her poor mam she just seemed as if she was having a good run of feeling better bless her . We still have the rain it’s a horrible day here I will have to find something to do with myself because it will be sport on the television all day I’ve been out for veg but I don’t need anything else we have lit the log burner a bit more cosy than the heating but of course no cheaper and it doesn’t heat up the rest of the house. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing3

Morning from a drier Mehefinland ( well at the moment)
Unfortunately don't posses a grumble dryer so will have to prevail upon a kind neighbour - or just let nature take it's course.
Off to a come and sing with my choir - we are 'doing' Vivaldi's Gloria. Practice/learn during the day and perform this evening! It is to try to get new members but it will be a good fun day - Our conductor is an extremely funny Dubliner and it is a pleasure to attend choir as he puts everything across in such a pleasant and funny way - not like some I have suffered under in the past.
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning All
Lovely bright day again, yesterday was just glorious and the bedding was dried outside, just needed to be aired off by the fire in the evening.
I managed a short walk yesterday in the lovely sunshine and will be meeting DD at Aldi this morning to do some shopping - she can bring it back in the car. I also need to go to the library, of the 4 books I borrowed only one got my attention!
Glad you enjoyed the show Gers, you should have a good run back in this lovely weather.
Hope everyone is safe from the heavy rain that's been around.
Mehefin - try putting your gilet in the TD if you have one, it will fluff up those feathers!
Hope the little one is feeling better DP1.
You're certainly busy WL, congrats to you too.
Sorry you're still without a WM Ruby, hope one gets delivered soon.
I've taken the dressings off my wounds this morning - not a pretty sight but they look dry and are healing well.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX0
