Pre mediation call - getting calls from DCB legal

A couple of weeks before the mediation call and I’m getting calls from DCB Legal. Haven’t answered any of the calls and have now blocked them. Do you think they want to make an offer? Is it advisable to answer their calls? Are they even allowed to call me now that it is in a court process?

Yes they can , so two words

    IGNORE THEM

You are representing yourself,  as an LiP, so as they are representing their clients,  they can try to contact your representative, meaning you

    Ignore

Of course they can call. Ignore them and who cares if they make an offer at mediation?

You won't be paying a penny or offering settlement, no matter what pro-claimant trash the Mediator tries.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Contacting defendants to try and get anything out of them is part of the process
for the bulk litigators. Remember a lot of people don't go on internet forums, file poor defences and fully expect to go to a hearing in front of a judge. If 50% of people immediately pay up on receipt of a court claim, another proportion will defend but still accept a lesser offer from DCB during the following months.
