7 year Energy bill dispute, bill keeps increasing - any advice?

First Utility became Shell Energy, and Octopus acquired the Shell Energy retail business...

That probably explains it, but it looks like the OPs father was trying to move suppliers, so would be good to get confirmation the debt is with Octopus now, not a debt collector who bought it off FU before they became Shell/Octopus.

I wonder if Octopus have access to the OP's father's bills/records from his FU days...
