Replacing Tilt and Slide Conservatory Door with French Doors

Hi everybody,
Our tilt and slide conservatory doors (the bane of my existence) have finally decided to give up the ghost. Both sliding mechanisms have failed, the door is now impossible to open without us being unable to close it again. As it leads onto our (poor insulated) conservatory, we lose a lot of heat if the door is open. We have decided to move forward with a replacement door.
For a replacement frame, new French doors and removal of all waste, I have been quoted £1280.
Is this reasonable? Is it a good idea to just go ahead and replace the full frame/unit? We have two small children who use the conservatory for their toy room, so having French doors would mean they could access the room much easier (although it does mean we might lose some storage space due to how they would open).

Seems reasonable to me. We paid more than that for some replacement French doors.
However that was in SE England and a local firm, who we have used before.
They use top quality suppliers and always do a very good installation ( which is the most important part)0 -
Have them open to the outside and then you won't lose storage space.0

I would say that’s to cheap, your talking about £850 to buy from the manufacturer, plus fitting and removal of debrisA thankyou is payment enough .0
