EON Billing Newbuild Nightmare

First post so forgive any rambling!
I moved into a new build 28th June 2025 with meter reading taken at time of move in, house has solar panels. I was told it was Eon and the new build developer provided me with the smart reader from Eon Since then I have repeatedly tried to set up this bills for my address with Eon getting me to resend my readings multiple times and assuring me a welcome pack would be sent out of which I've received none.
My latest email from them (23 Oct) was an email with a bill for the entirely wrong address, which was my last listed address (my mother's) for which I have never been the bill payer. I have given them the address to the new build at least three times by email and never provided my mother's address to them for contact or billing. My mother is also not with Eon.
At my wits end at this point of how I can set up my bills, does anyone have any advice or had the same issue?
At this point I have little faith that Eon could arrange a p up in a brewery, and am considering moving to Octopus but have no idea if I can do that using my old move in readings or if I would start from now and just await Eon finally catching up to bill me for the time between...

Welcome to the forum.
Is the development fairly large? If it is, then when the electricity supply was originally ordered it would have been under a plot number and the "working title" of the road may not be the same as the final name. If you can get the original development address then you should, combined with the meter number, be able to identify and update your supply details with Eon. It shouldn't really be your responsibility but that would probably be the quickest way to get this resolved. Good luck.3 -
Does the meter number on the bill match your actual meter number?Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Are we talking only about an electricity meter that is inside your property (i.e. not in a shared meter cupboard or meter room)?0
