ETF and OEIC gilt variance

IGLT opened today over 2% down and drifted slightly lower, ending 2.34% down. My Fidelity gilt index fund, valued at midday, was up 0.13%. How does that happen, given they measure a similar index?

    Probably because today it went ex-dividend.

    And the prize for investigation goes to wbm194! I thought it was an over-reaction to the growth figures.

    This should be a sticky. Whenever a distributing fund falls unexpectedly, check the XD date.
