UKCPS parking fine from double visit

I am desperately after some guidance after receiving a fine from a UKCPS car park. The initial fine claimed a stay of over 4 hours, however I immediately contacted them to inform them that I had in actual fact made two visits to the car park in the same afternoon with a near three hour gap in between. I have struggled to find clear evidence other than stating the times I signed in and out of the school I visited during the claimed parking violation. There were no cameras and in my opinion the evidence of my stay lies with the car parks cameras and yet they are able to claim I am in the wrong and continue to demand money. They have rejected my initial comments, formal appeal and subsequent complaint and I now have a letter from a debt collection company because I refuse to be bullied into payment. This is however causing me serious stress and anxiety. I further resent the fact I would be charged to make a complaint with the International Parking Community, as directed by the parking company. Please can someone offer some guidance on the course of action - do I ignore the calls for money, should I contact the debt company and inform them I will not be paying?

First things fist, you have not been fined. You said it was a UKCPS car park - was it? or was it a car park attached to an establishment? If your vehicle was not there then they have been negligent and processed your personal data in breach of GDPR, they and/or the landowner should be paying youWhos car park was this, and where? From the Plain Language Commission:

I further resent the fact I would be charged to make a complaint with the International Parking Community, as directed by the parking company. That's not true. You've misunderstood, I think. You are probably misreading something they said about putting in a 'non-standard appeal' to the IAS (a completely different thing than a complaint to the IPC).
Non-standard IAS costs £15 to lose because it's considered bent as a nine bob note.
You will NOT be trying that!
What you do is ignore the daft Trace letter (completely ignore) but put in a complaint to UKCPS' DPO email as shown on their privacy page.
Tell them this is a 'double dip' ANPR error. Give the DPO the approx times of the missing out/return images and insist they locate these 'orphan images' and cancel the PCN or you will report UKCPS to the DVLA and the ICO.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
