Tesco Hove parking fine

Thought I would write to say that I have successfully emailed Tesco and obtained a refund for the fine I had to pay. Somewhere (I can’t find where) someone mentioned this email address
ceo.customerservice@tesco.com. Thank you!
This got an immediate holding response and then a personal reply the next day. It apologises and says the manager should have sorted it. They have sent me a Tesco gift card.

I used ChatGPT for the first time - putting all my frustrations on a list and got such a great letter out of it. I threatened to tell the Argus, The Times, local council and my MP
Complain, complain, complain!

Good result 🙂
My car refused to start in Tesco car park and I began to panic but went to the customer service desk and they input my reg with an explanation.
Seemed straightforward.
So if you know you have a problem go straight into the store.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Would have been easy to beat on appeal especially if it was an early one where they were posting them all too late for keeper liability. And even if not, there are no entrance signs and no extra signs prominently placed for 4 months at the entrance to tell people about the change in terms that suddenly happened in September. That is a clear breach of the Code of Practice and would have won at Popla.
I am sad that you paid Horizon money that you really didn't have to, but very happy that Tesco stepped in because apparently, Michael and Jack (the managers at Hove Tesco) are fobbing all the complaints off.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
