Yamaha YDS-120 Digital Saxophone

I bought this digital saxophone a while ago and at present, I put some backing music on my TV and play along with it as you would normally. In some situations, I would plug some headphones into the stereo jack on the saxophone, but leave one off so I can hear the TV along with what I am playing.

So, there is the query. How do I arrange it so that I can hear the backing music along with what I am playing through the saxophone on a set of headphones? Is it a case of connecting a cable from my TV to the AUX IN of my saxophone and then having the headphones connect to the stereo jack?

For reference, below is the link to the saxophone...

There is not a lot info about it but,
AUX input lets you play along with backing tracks or external audio sources.
So yes you will plug in here. Also

The product information specifies that the Yamaha YDS-120 Digital Saxophone has an auxiliary input for connecting devices such as smartphones, but it does not provide specific details about whether the aux input is a stereo jack or the level and jack type.

So if your TV output is for feeding external equipment from an rca connector or headphones via a jack socket that will likely by the correct level. You will need a cable from the rca output or TV headphone output to the connector on the sax. That might be a 3mm jack socket and a TRS ( stereo) type.

That is all derived from the poor data on Amazon
