What's this little red-circled notch in my SIM holder? My SIM won't fit.

As there is a gap to the left of the piece with the notch I would say it is designed to be pushed back by the top of the SIM card and will hold it securely in place.1

Xiaomi Poco F3? That SIM tray is double-sided, to stop the SIM falling out when you turn it over your SIM should sit hard against that, er, protuberance (a notch is something cut away, like the corner) or maybe even under it?1

Id expect the sim to go under the protuberance0

Thanks - didn't want to break it but, yes, the tab had to be pushed in for the SIM to be held in place (same on reverse for SIM2).1
