LPA application process questions

I have valid EPA but have decided to draw up LPAs for Property & Finance and Health & Welfare and register them immediately. I’ve almost completed the 1st, but have a couple of questions which will apply to both:

I’ve appointed husband & son as Attorneys to act jointly & severally. As husband is a couple of years older than me (late 70s), do people advise also appointing a replacement Attorney?

Final step online is ‘Confirm’ and it says I can’t change anything after that. I assume as nothing goes to OPG, it just means I can’t alter anything so would have to start again. If I pay online immediately I have 42 days to get signed forms to OPG. (I know about increase, but can’t get everything signed in correct order & to OPG before 17th). Is there any advantage to paying immediately?
