How does monthly whole bill DD work with Octopus

Thanks everyone.
We have now finally received the actual bill and as said the credit is used first, leaving us just the balance to pay, they also altered the date of the DD from the original 17/11 to 26/11, not sure why though.

They have changed the date as, under the direct debt guarantee, they have to give you a minimum amount of notice before they can take any money.
