All was good yesterday, the procedure showed that the worst hasn't transpired so no operation needed, however there is a problem which will mean a further procedure. So, mostly good news. Thanks all for the good wishes, I really appreciate them all. 💕💕Am in a rush, need to get to the big town and back before the rains arrive - we have a yellow warning and a flood one too.I heard from Camelot yesterday, she's back home and very glad to be there too. Not sure if she'll post yet or not.Hugs to all.12

Morning allGlad all went well yesterday Gers and nice to hear Camelot is on the mendI got my e-consult yesterday. Was well impressed. The doctor rang me back just after 9am! She reckons it's my sinuses so has prescribed antihistamine and a nasal spray and said the prescription is at the chemist now. DH popped in to get it for me around 3.30pm and they said oh sorry you'll have to wait a bit as we only received it 15 minutes ago! They really are disorganised. Then the nasal spray wasn't available so won't get it until today. GrrrMy symptoms are a bit better today thank goodness thoughBreadmaker going on in a minute and after that the world is my oyster.Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies xx12

Morning GERS and all to follow.. I hope yesterday went well for you.
I am skulking out of sight upstairs with a much needed colour on my hair. The box has been sitting in the bathroom looking at me for 2 weeks now so finally this morning I felt motivated enough to do it. I couldn't stand the skunk look any more.
Today I am meeting DF for lunch, all being well. It's getting harder to get a table these days, we don't know why it's suddenly got so busy. I have a little list of bits to get before I meet her but they will wait if lunch doesn't happen!
Yesterday I finally waded through the big bags of stocking fillers hiding in the small bedroom. So now all sorted what is for who and a list made out of what's still needed. I still have all the main presents for family to get but waiting for inspiration to strike (or presented with what I want lists from the DGDs!) Christmas seems to get more tedious every year. Hard to believe I used to love it! Bah humbug!
Well colouring time is nearly up so better get organised for the mess I always seem to make rinsing it off.. Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering, sad or lonely. Thinking of our MIA friends and hoping they are ok. Take care all xx

Morning all
Dry here for now but drizzley rain due later this afternoon, I have my two people coming today and we are going to meet our friends and go to a local museum where they have an exhibition about Shiphams ( who make the sandwich paste) they originally had a factory in the town of Chichester and I remember as a child the whole town smelled of cooking meat 😂 we will have a wander around the shops after and then go for tea and cake should be a good day.
Dinner tonight will be the last of the beef casserole, we have had 7 dinner out of it so not bad, DD is working a late so will eat at work. I did my shopping yesterday so that’s out of the way for this week.
I had a text from the wm man yesterday who asked if we would be in Wednesday between 9-4 so I replied that no we would all be working, I have asked him to come Thursday when dd is off but no reply yet, I could really do with him coming this week as I really don’t want to go to the laundrette again.
Camelot I’m so glad you are home, you will recover quicker there xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Glad yesterday went smoothly and hope the follow up doesn’t take too long to happen. Good to know @camelot1001 is home and recovering x
That’s good service from your GP @Chrisca50 - ours took 2 days to call DH back and then she was on speaker phone and chewing gum very loudly. And she still hasn’t done the referral for his issue 4 days later.Talking of DH - we got an emergency Chiro appt yesterday and he’s moving better. Needs to go back on Thursday and possibly twice more depending on how he goes. He also needs to be more mindful of his age/ability to do things - not getting any younger!!A day of cleaning today and sweeping the step again. The lawn also needs doing but it’s too wet after yesterday’s downpour.Dinner is chilli con carne with rice.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 7/26 Currently reading Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi11 -
Morning all from a dull and dreary Mehefinland
Wide awake at 4am this morning and couldn't get off again.. Alarm went a 6.30 and head glued to pillow .Feel like death warmed up atm. Hope I'm not starting something as its a busy week in prospect, and I can't afford to be unwell with no backup for the nags. A snoozette may be in order later.
Got to check on my lovely friends doggos shortly - they have a horsepital appointment for a brain scan of Mr. Been having severe headaches , They got a cancellation today - they were rang up late afternoon yesterday so it was panic stations for a while.
All this talk of stocking fillers reminds me of when I was a mere lad. Orange, half a crown if you were lucky and a few bits and bobs of nothing much , all stuffed in one of Dad's worksocks- how times have changed!! Christmas Eve boxes!!! where did that come from!!!? Bah Humbug
Might mosey over to the War Memorial at 11.00 - just because.
Hugs and spoons as usual

Morning everyone
It's a dull morning here and forecast to rain later and the rest of the week. I have a urology appointment after work, not looking forward to it.
After work yesterday I went over the road to have a cuppa with my friend...the world was put to rights again!
Pleased to hear you're home Camelot and your appointment was ok Gers.
TA I have various bags of stocking fillers pushed into my wardrobe so little one couldn't see them last weekend, I need to get them out and properly sorted...perhaps I'll wrap them too!
Right best get on so I'll wish you all a good day x11 -
Morning All
A very quick post from me to say thank you all for your good wishes.
The op on Friday took longer than planned which meant a stay in hospital until yesterday - I'm so glad to be home.
I've had a shower and washed my hair so feel heaps better, DD has gone to do some shopping - she's been an absolute star. Hoping she will be able to bring the little one up for a while after school, I've been missing her.
Hugs to all, take care. XX12 -
Morning all and thank you @Gers for starting us off. I'm very glad to hear you and @camelot are both back home. Today's weather - Wet. Dull. Miserable. Need I say more?

Yesterday afternoon I caught up on the weekend posts that I'd missed but didn't get back on here and no doubt will have already forgotten what everyone has been up to. I also made a loose plan of what I need for Xmas and from where, just need to decide when to fit it in!
The freezer rummage produced a chicken Kung Po and some rice for last night's tea and chilli for tonight; normally I'd have that with either rice or a jacket potato but I'm having a change and will add a suet crust pastry topping instead.
This afternoon I have a council contractor coming to do an electrical safety inspection and safety check, sometime between 12 noon and 4 pm. I can't remember when it was last done but, from memory, I don't think it takes too long - providing of course they don't find anything amiss! While he's here I'll occupy myself with a bit of admin and/or some more of the jigsaw puzzle that I'm doing. It's a harbour scene with lots of boats bobbing about on the water and cottages that all look the same and is proving very challenging.
@Chrisca - Glad you're feeling a little better today and I hope your oyster has lots of pearls in it!
@TA - Happy new hair colour; I gave up doing that years ago and, although not completely grey yet, I can see it's going to be like my DF's - a pale silver colour.
@Ruby - Have a good day out at the museum today. Fingers crossed your WM man gets back in touch to say he can come on Thursday. And that he can sort it out asap.
@Coxy - Glad to hear your DH is moving a bit more easily after the chiro session, you'll have a new man soon!
But yes, I think we're all a little guilty of forgetting our advancing age.
@dp1 - I hope your urology appointment goes well with no bad news.
@camelot - Lovely to "see" you posting again. Take care.
Right, I'm going to ignore the awful weather as best I can and see what I can get done before the electricity is turned off - I hope the workman arrives sooner rather than later. Have the best day you can and help yourself to a hug if you need/want one. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10
