Vinted returns and customer service?

Just trying to find out if people think Vinted customer service is getting worse? It appears that they have started to take longer and longer to reply to messages on returns / disputes. Anything other than reporting a listing for a removal takes a good few days.

I need to get a refund on an item that should never have been sent as it was damaged and therefore against Vinted policy for the buyer to list it, and for that reason was also illegal to post in the UK by law. However, with the "I have an issue" button there is no way to report this specific issue and I have had to go through the normal returns process. At the moment I am in the situation where I have been given a deadline by the automated process to return the item for a refund. However, I have yet to get Vinted to reply and tell me what to do when it is not legal to put the item in the post with any service.

Yes. I read it and it mirrors my experience today. I received a reply from Vinted Support today where they seem to have ignored the specific issue I had raised. Namely that it is against the law in the UK to post a damaged battery, which they are now encouraging me to do as part of the returns process. I have tried the other email address for them. They seem to have outsourced their customer services, possibly to India, but it almost feels like AI because whoever read my message didn't seem to have the intelligence to address the issues.

I got quite a crude response saying "We've just received the answer from our investigating team and item return was approved". However, this doesn't address the issue of the damaged battery which is considered a fire hazard under UK law. If they force me to post it in order to get a refund I am going to report them for breaking the law, and have told them as much. The last part of the Vinted support message said "It may take up to 5 business days for us to get back to you." It's diabolical.
