UPDATE:  11 November 2025 at 0750 hours.  The problem with the colour on programmes viewed via my Humax Box seems to have resolved itself.  I tried everything I could think of and, yesterday, the colour was really dull.

When I turned my Sony tlevision and Humax Box on this morning the colour had gone back to normal.

I am not good with technology and wonder if it was maybe just a strange "glitch."

Presumably the Humax and TV are connected via a cable - maybe a SCART lead (other connection cables are available) - and I have found that if the leads are not pushed fully home, this colour degradation can occur.  I regularly get called to an elderly neighbour's house because the DVD player is not working properly only to find that she has moved it to dust around and under it and has dislodged the SCART.

Thanks Le_Kirk.  That could be what happened.  I did check the cables at the time and they seemed to be all right.  The TV and Humax Box were off overnight so maybe I didn't wait long enough or the colour might have come back to normal later the same evening.

Also depends what you are watching. If streaming a film then depending on what it is/how old then unless it has been restored you can get loss of sound and picture quality. Made for TV stuff is also dependent on how it has been edited in post-production.
