Guilty, couldn't see the keyboard for the red mist that had descended at the mere mention of the "R" airline.la531983 said:So blinded with rage at the airline he cant get the name of the CEO right
If you are going to rant then I think it behoves one to get the bloke's name right.0 -
Yet another reason not to give Michael Ryan my money.0

So a printed boarding pass is OK, provided it's one that Ryanair themselves print at the airport, and not one that you print yourself at home?la531983 said:
Or, just look at the MSE page rather than providing a passive aggressive answer (yes, we know you hate Ryanair, build a bridge and get over it):flaneurs_lobster said:
Ask Mr O'Reilly, he's the one who thinks this is a great idea.MigsyBigsy said:Hello all,
my parents are over 70 and do not own a smartphone. They are currently in Spain and due to return in 2 weeks on a ryanair flight. What are they supposed to do? Can I check them online by using the browser on my laptop?

Yes. Something that people seem to have overlooked in the red mist.Barkin said:

Looks like it. Presumably you get it at the check-in desk* just like in the olden days.Barkin said:

* for younger readers, these were places where a person would deal with your checked-in luggage and ask if you had packed it yourself and issue you with your boarding cards - before budget airlines invented "Baggage Drops" .0 -
Ryanair did not have a printer or desk in Birmingham Airport as recently as August, to save money.
So have they spent some money, which they hate, or does MSE Abby need to confirm that all is in place and where exactly.

is fine except it's of little use unless it is qualified with exactly WHERE this printing can be requested. Maybe not an issue in Ostrava but Stansted Airport is quite big.
I'm not stupid enough to expect Ryanair to publish and maintain a dynamic list of Boarding Pass Printing Points for the > 200 locations that they serve. What they should do is supply this location for the specific journey that is being checked-in for.
So I check-in online and at that point I'm given the information that the Printing Point is in Terminal B at check-in desk 11.

I assume it will be at the bag drop desks for the larger airports where they have machines, they arent unmanned and there is always someone floating around. For airports where you still have to go up to a desk to weigh the bag (sure I had to at Palma a few years ago) it will likely be that person who does it. I doubt there will be a special desk as per.0
