Under 12s must always be accompanied and supervised by an adult on the ice.
Children aged 12 to 14 must have a parent or guardian observing from the sides.
It is strongly advised that all skaters in general skate sessions are aged 5 or over. However, 4-year-olds may skate during general sessions with appropriate supervision.
Skate aids are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All skaters must follow the ice rink rules and safety guidance at all times.

The competition closes at midday on Monday, 24 November 2025. The winner will be chosen at random and contacted via phone, email, or social media.
If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, we reserve the right to re-draw the competition.
Your contact details will only be used to notify you if you are the winner. We will not share your information unless you opt in to partner communications.
If you choose to opt in to receive updates from Visit Derby and our partners, your details will be stored securely and used only for marketing purposes.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The competition is not open to employees or family members of employees of Derby City Council.
