Tesco Clubcard Pay + Closing Accounts

For my day-to-day spending I currently use my Tesco Clubcard Pay + card as a debit card, loading it up before I go shopping, either online or physically going to shops (any shopping, not just Tesco).
I love my Tesco Clubcard Pay + card and it's the only card I carry around on a daily basis but I have just had notification that they are closing down accounts in April 2026, so I need to find another debit card that, should I lose or have my card stolen, nobody can spend on it beyond the amount actually in the account. If I only have £10.56 in my account, I cannot spend £10.57 without adding more money. This also helps me stick to my budget as well as stopping thieves stealing my money.
Can anyone suggest something similar where it stops spending beyond what is in the account rather than going into an unarranged overdraft, either by shopping or by having the card stolen?

No overdrafts of any kind with Chase, and no charges where a payment is attempted but is declined due to lack of balance. While there is now a £1,500 minimum pay in (though this can be to savings) for the everyday cashback, there is no minimum pay in if you just want an account that you don't have to worry about too much if you lose the card (there are no numbers printed on it.)

This is what Nationwide says:"An unarranged overdraft is when you go over your arranged overdraft limit or when your balance falls below £0 and you don’t have an arranged overdraft in place. This is borrowing that’s not agreed with us in advance. We don’t offer unarranged overdrafts at Nationwide. Instead, we’ll try to stop any payments from coming out of your account if you don’t have enough money. No charges apply if you go into an unarranged overdraft. But you will not be able to withdraw cash or transfer money until your account balance is back in credit or within its limit.Unarranged overdrafts can be bad for your credit score."That is as good as you will get for limiting your loss if the debit card is lost or stolen. You can also reduce the contactless limit.1

Any of the Basic offerings (from a bank different to your main one) would be fine. Co-op Cashminder, Santander Basic, TSB Cash and Nationwide FlexBasic are four accounts that can be applied for directly and have no overdraft facility (either arranged or unarranged).0

"Apply for FlexBasic here on our website. As part of your application, we'll first check if you qualify for our other current accounts."
