Smart parking court letter after 4 years

Hi guys
I received a county court letter from dcb legal on behalf of smart parking. I over stayed in a car park as I had a very sick and unwell person with me and I wasnt able to drive away on time after the shopping. I went through popla but no luck. It happened in jul 2021 and since then I. Hanged the home address. They did find me but I ignored their letter. Now I have got the Northampton court letter as attached. I have done the aos online and I have 2 weeks to submit my defence. Please can you share your thoughts?

You have 28+5 days from the issue date to respond to the court claim.

Don't leave it till the last minute.

Add a redacted picture of the claim form below after hiding the name and address and any QR code, the claim reference number,  the VRM details and your personal password on the bottom right,  so 4 or 5 redactions

Leave all the dates on show etc, just no personal or private information

Use the template defence by coupon mad in announcements

Study a dozen recent Smart Parking DCB Legal cases on here and use theirs to draft your bespoke defence,  based on your POC details,  your draft will be 11 or 12 paragraphs long,  with 2 and 3 altered,  plus the untruth statement paragraph added

I suggest that you post your claim form issue date too, plus post your AOS date as well
  • im not sure why it wasnt loaded in the previous message. Thank you

Go to the top of this forum, below the yellow banner,  look at the 3rd thread down from the top of the forum,  labelled newbies etc, there are 7 announcements in total up there,  we dont link announcements because people should be reading them before posting,  especially that newbies sticky thread,  just below the template defence thread just above it,  so 2nd and 3rd at the moment

No. We don't do that and we don't need to check any draft. Please just copy another Smart defence. Look around & copy one. Threads about Smart claims are not needed because they are all the same.
