I'm off to Crete soon, and I would like to be able to work out the exchange rate on my calculator. i.e. if something cost's 14 euros say, what would that be in £££.

Take a look at https://www.xe.net/ucc/ which uses the latest exchange rates
As you probably won't be carrying the internet with you around Crete, look on your currency exchange receipt to see exactly what rate was used, then stick with that figure on your calculator.
If it's the actual calculation you're after, type in the amount in Euro then divide by the exchange rate, so
14 / 1.49 = £9.39
As a rough guide for Euro/Pounds, I always use two thirds (ie E30 = £20)0 -
Thanks WiseInvester, just what I was looking for.I find Viagra saves peeing on my shoe.....0
